Family Barber Shop is an old-style, full-service barber shop located in the Riverbend area of New Orleans. Opened in the 1920s, the shop is one of the oldest operating businesses on Oak Street and has been a staple to the people of the Uptown neighborhoods. In 1967, Bud Adams purchased the shop and cut hair until he passed away at the age of 98. He left the shop in the hands of Alan Seals so the shop will stay around. Alan does so with the help of Cassie and Ahmad, and they continue to take care of everyone that walks through their door.
